Building energy that doesn't quit

Twenty years in mountain rescue taught our founder, Ethan Greaves, exactly what a body needs to keep going when the day won't let up. E+PATROL is what he built with that knowledge. From here, it's his story to tell.

THE E+PATROL STORY

I didn't set out to start a food company. I set out to make it through a twelve-hour patrol without my body quitting before the job was done. The mountain kept asking for more than my food could give, so I built E+PATROL. Here's how it happened.
1

20 year experiment

E+PATROL started as a question I couldn't stop asking: how do you fuel a body for twelve hours of nonstop mental and physical work? On a rescue, there's no room for a bad call, and no time to refuel. So I spent twenty years experimenting to find an answer.

Tested in the field

Mountain rescue doesn't wait for you to finish breakfast. Saving lives takes all your focus and all your energy, and nothing I could buy held up. So I built my own fuel from real food, and refined it across 40,000 hours in the field. It kept me sharp, strong, and on my feet. Soon, the whole team was asking for it.

Joining Forces

In 2024, I linked up with adventure buddies Matt and Lizzi LaCasse, CPG veterans and co-founders of Birch Benders. They knew how to build a food company. I knew what the food had to do. Together, we turned my mountain fuel into something anyone can pour at home.

The birth of E+Patrol

After years of sourcing ingredients, perfecting the taste, and testing it everywhere from my kitchen to the summit, E+PATROL is ready for everyone. Now, adventurers and everyday doers alike can get unstoppable, real-food energy wherever they are. Just add water. Protect your energy. You're going to need it.
